一 春（はる）になりて桑（くは）の芽（め）の出る時分にたね紙を取出し見る
べしあたゝかなれはそろ〳〵むへ出るものなり扨 桑（くは）の
木のもへ出て春葉の芽（め）たち手をひらきたる時節（ぢせつ）より
化（むへ）出る者（もの）なり虫。葉同時にむへたるは時季（じき）相応（そうおう）して

造化（ざうくわ）を現（げん）せしむる当然（とうせん）偽（いつは）りなき事なりと信用（しんよう）

一 種紙（たねかみ）のかいこ少ふくれたるやうに見ゆるともいまだ飼立（かいたて）

一、春になって桑の芽が出る時期に種紙を取り出して見るべきである。暖かければそろそろ孵化するものである。さて、桑の木が芽吹いて春葉の芽が立ち、手を広げたような時節から孵化するものである。虫と葉が同時に孵化したのは時季に相応して都合が良い。その中でもし虫が早く孵化して桑葉が遅い場合があれば、まずその虫を孵化させないように土蔵の中や板の間、あるいは畳の下などに入れ置いて冷やせば、孵化することが止まって遅く孵化するものである。孵化するとは、紙に貼り付けてある種が陽気を受けて、罌粟ほどの種が芥子ほどにも膨らんでくることを孵化すると言うのである。その種が膨らんで、その蚕が自然と出てくることを
