を変えて糞を捨てるべきである。ただし夏子（夏蚕）であればその上がり前七日の内は毎日座を取り替えるのが良い。総じて糞を取らない繭は蒸れて腐敗にあうので繭が悪い。桑葉は分量にかかわらずできるだけたっぷりと飼うべきである。そうすれば七日と言っても五日にも六日にも上がるのである。それほど良い繭ができる。ただし飼い立てる間は家内で香を焚く物、あらゆる匂い、善悪ともに忌むべきである。中でも鰻の臭いは虫が死に、鰯の臭いは強く病気になる。煙草を触った手で取った桑葉を入れると必ず色が変わる。このような忌み事は多いと言えども、要するに香のある物を
