お手紙を拝見いたしました。
将軍様におかれましては、ますますご機嫌麗しく
お過ごしになられており、恐悦に存じ上げ、私どもも同様に
存じております。さて、来年の午年の
御徳日・御遣日の書付が参りました
ので、私どものところへもお越しいただきますよう
伝奏衆が申されたとのことで、ご連絡をいただき
ありがたく存じます。右の
書付２通をお受け取りいたしました。なお、後日
お便りをお待ちしております。恐惶謹言

We have respectfully read your letter.
His Excellency the Shogun is in excellent spirits,
which brings us great joy, and we feel the same way
as you do. Regarding the matter at hand, the documents
concerning the auspicious days and official ceremonial days for next year, the Year of the Horse,
have arrived. We have been informed that the court nobles (densōshū)
have requested that you also attend
our gathering. We are grateful for your notification. We have
received the two aforementioned
documents. We look forward to hearing from you again
in the future. With utmost respect and reverence.
