現代語訳

神主が神人に下知があり、御殿の引き初めは子の下刻(午前0時頃)から凡そ寅の刻前(午前4時頃)まで、権地へ引き付けて済ませた。庭燎を明かし、転供が御燈を進め、神人以下はしばらく休息した。次に御土台を拝殿の方へ引く用意を調え、御後へ正大工が筵道を持たせて詰め、再び庭燎を消して御土台を引いた。尤も御土台用意の筵道引きである。終わって庭燎を明かし、御土台を神殿の下に組み、御柱の搦みを解いた。次に神主が奉幣、転供が取り次ぎ、次に祢宜が祝神酒を献進すること日供の如くである。神酒は別当が惣奉行より請け取り、御丸盤に設え調えて進めた。次に夕御料を献進すること朝御料の如く、終わって退下した。 一 日雇い方が出精して仕事をしたため御酒三升を下された。谷の神人以下へ五升樽編物一連を下された。 一 参籠所において神供・神酒を各々頂戴した。  五日 一 権地・神殿辺並びに拝殿廻りは谷の神人に申し付けて掃除があった。並びに付け曳きの道具で社中分は横入に申し付けて取り片付けさせた。 一 立柱前の新殿御土台を京大工が組み建てるにつき、役人中より差図があった。これにより保韶が奉行中へ申して、御土台の内の敷板を打たせることを役大工にさせたいと相談し、則ち正大工・権大工が相勤めた。その外御柱運送・仮建ては京大工・日雇い等が賀茂の権殿の如く仕事をした。 一 立柱の日供献進は神主・両官・転供以下が端の社へ参向し、片御料を献進した。次第は昨日の如く、神子屋において一膳ずつ各々直会をし、一膳は惣市直会である。 一 奥御社立柱の朝御料献進は昨日の如くである。 一 刻限前に神主・両官(衣冠)、転供(浄衣・刺貫)、作所(狩衣)、別当・所司・目代が神前に参向した。拝殿の座の畳一畳を中央に置き、神主は西、祢宜は東、祝は各々北面した。西側は南上で東面に転供両人、東側は南上で西面に別当・所司・目代が座した。両殿の御土台下庭上、拝殿の未申の方の円座に作所が着座し、役大工は岩船の東で北上東面に列座した。拝殿西軒下に供物の辛櫃を出納する素襖の舁添と谷の神人(上下着用)がおり、この外に谷の神人五人が黄衣にて詰めていた。 一 御普請方として中井主水・佐久間甚八・真野八郎兵衛(熨斗目・麻上下)、倉橋定之丞・村山富右衛門、棟梁角井三郎太郎(麻上下)が入来したが、保土の案内を間違えたため、参籠所辺りで保韶が出迎えて参籠所に着座させた。棟梁は縁に表敷を出して頭方とし、その後に着座した。

The head priest gave orders to the shrine servants, and the initial moving of the main hall began from the late hour of the Rat (around midnight) until approximately before the hour of the Tiger (around 4 AM), completing the attachment to the sacred ground. The garden torches were lit, the attendants advanced the sacred lamps, and the shrine servants and others rested briefly. Next, preparations were made to pull the foundation platform toward the worship hall, with the head carpenter having straw matting brought to the rear area. The garden torches were extinguished again and the foundation platform was pulled. This was indeed the pulling with straw matting prepared for the foundation platform. After completion, the garden torches were lit, the foundation platform was assembled under the main hall, and the binding of the sacred pillars was undone. Next, the head priest performed the offering ritual, the attendants served as intermediaries, and then the priest offered sacred sake as in the daily offerings. The sacred sake was received by the deputy head from the general magistrate, arranged on a sacred round tray and presented. Next, the evening offerings were presented like the morning offerings, and after completion, they withdrew. 1. Since the day laborers worked diligently, they were given three shō of sake. The valley shrine servants and others were given a five-shō barrel with woven goods. 1. At the retreat quarters, each person received the divine offerings and sacred sake. Day 5 1. The area around the sacred ground and main hall, as well as around the worship hall, were cleaned by the valley shrine servants as instructed. The moving equipment belonging to the shrine association was collected and put away by the side-entering attendants as instructed. 1. Since the Kyoto carpenters were to assemble and construct the foundation platform for the new hall before the pillar-raising, there were instructions from the officials. Accordingly, Yasunao consulted with the magistrates about having the role carpenters install the floorboards inside the foundation platform, and thus the head carpenter and assistant head carpenter performed this duty. For other tasks such as transporting sacred pillars and temporary construction, the Kyoto carpenters and day laborers worked as they would on Kamo's temporary shrine. 1. For the daily offerings on pillar-raising day, the head priest, both officials, attendants and others proceeded to the subsidiary shrine and offered the single meal offering. The procedure was as yesterday, with each person having a communion meal at the shrine maiden's house, and one meal being a general market communion. 1. The morning offerings for the pillar-raising at the inner shrine were as yesterday. 1. Before the appointed time, the head priest and both officials (in court dress), attendants (in white robes and sashiguki), workshop official (in hunting dress), and the deputy head, administrator, and deputy administrator proceeded to the divine presence. A single tatami mat was placed in the center of the worship hall seating area, with the head priest to the west, the priest to the east, and the ritualist each facing north. On the west side, facing east in order of precedence from south, were the two attendants; on the east side, facing west in order of precedence from south, were the deputy head, administrator, and deputy administrator. However, due to a mistake in Yasutsu's guidance, Yasunao went out to meet them near the retreat quarters and had them seated there. The master carpenter had formal matting laid out on the veranda as the place of honor, with the others seated behind.
