一、午刻頃、惣代重殖季栄が出頭した。趣旨は木船社木作始の日時伺書を持参することであった。未刻過ぎに帰郷し、演説したところ、御奉行が御落手し、御伝奏においては大膳が出逢いにつき、木船社木作始日時の儀について御普請方で聞き糺し、来月七日・九日両日の伺書を御奉行へ差し上げ置いた。しかしながら両日の内、九日に仰せ出されるならば武辺の都合が宜しい段を申し入れた処、御留守との由で申し置いて退出したとのこと。今日持参した伺書の控えは以下の通りである。

1. Around the hour of the Horse (noon), representative Shigeuji Sueshige appeared. His purpose was to bring an inquiry document regarding the date and time for the wood construction commencement at Kifune Shrine. After the hour of the Sheep (past 2 PM), he returned to his locality and reported that the magistrate had received it, and at the imperial messenger's office, he met with Daizen. Concerning the matter of the date and time for Kifune Shrine's wood construction commencement, after consultation with the construction office, inquiry documents for both the 7th and 9th of next month were submitted to the magistrate. However, he requested that if the 9th were to be designated between these two days, it would be more convenient from a military perspective, but since the official was absent, he left this message and withdrew. The copy of the inquiry document brought today is as follows:
