Ken'an, Deputy Administrator Yasuhiro, and Substitute Deputy Ken'ken each served in attendance, while separately two shrine attendants carried the sacred chest in the procession. Eighth group Yasutaka and ninth group Kabu'aki led the way, proceeding in the order of Shirahige Shrine temporary relocation, then Guardian Shrine, then Hyakudayū, then Fukutoku Shrine, etc. It was completed without delay in about half of the Hour of the Dog. The circular seating for the Chief Priest and procession members was arranged by the ritual master's retainers, and the sacred lamps were lit. The Assistant Administrator did not attend, but this was according to precedent. Yin-yang master Ken (in court cap and robes).
First, the provisional halls of Guardian Shrine, Hyakudayū, etc. became joint shrine buildings this time (with two doorways and a partition in the middle), installed between both shrines. The relocation procedures were the same as for separate buildings.
First, those who attended voluntarily were: Former Chief Priest Yasuaki, Deputy Priest Yasuhisa, Kifune Priest Ikuhisa, Ōta Priest Tsuneyasu, same Ritualist Yasuchi, Wakamiya Priest Chikaaki, same Ritualist Motoyasu, Nara Ritualist Ken'aki, Ujigami Priest Jūshun, same Ritualist Ken'yasau (each in purified robes and divided hakama). Besides these, two or three others. After completing the relocation, they finished the sacred offerings, sacred wine, and ceremonial feast at the retreat quarters, then each departed.
9th day, cloudy, rain falling from about the Hour of the Snake (Kinoto-I)
First, for the temporary relocation of Ōta Shrine and Ujigami Shrine during the Hours of Dog and Boar, the official on duty for presenting daily offerings to the main shrine's subsidiary shrines was Nara Ritualist Ken'aki.
First, since the temporary relocation of Ōta Shrine and Ujigami Shrine suddenly encountered rainy weather, provisional roofing was ordered for the divine procession route by the repair office.
First, the temporary relocation of Ōta Shrine began at the Hour of the Dog and was completed at the end of the same hour. Those participating in attendance were: Chief Priest Hirohisa (in court dress, with one person in plain court dress, umbrella bearer and shoe bearer), one shrine attendant as escort (carrying torches), two shrine attendants as sacred chest bearers, sword bearer (carrying ritual offerings), then the Chief Priest. Substitute Deputy Ken'ken and Deputy Administrator Yasuhiro served in attendance. Assistant Head Priest Ken'an did not serve in attendance as he accompanied the inner sanctuary sacred offerings; the outer sanctuary daily offerings were placed in the sacred chest and Taguchi accompanied as usual (however, these sacred offerings had already been sent ahead by the Chief Priest). Next came Ōta Priest Tsuneyasu and same Ritualist Yasuchi (both in court cap and robes, with one white-robed attendant). Rotating eighth group Junior Fourth Rank Lower Yasutaka, ninth group Junior Fourth Rank Lower Kabu'aki (with the same retinue as above).
First, the procedures for the temporary relocation were the same as for Shingū, Nara, and Sawada shrines, so they are abbreviated here (however, the rain stopped during the actual relocation).
First, those who attended voluntarily were: Senior Priest Naruhisa, same Ritualist Shigeuye, Former Chief Priest Yasuaki (serving as administrator concurrently), Deputy Priest Yasuhisa (each in court cap and robes), Kataoka Priest Isahisa (in purified robes), Wakamiya Priest Chikaaki (in purified robes), Nara Ritualist Ken'aki
