弐本入扇子箱《割書：片木居》差上之但和泉大掾着用素襖脇指
帯之也且又別紙鍛冶先格御礼等之儀社記勘出書差上候処

申刻頃、惣代安久季栄が帰郷して報告したところによると、鍛冶藤原定次和泉大掾が昨夜宣下を受けたので、御礼のため召し連れてまず御奉行弁殿に参上し申し上げました。昨日からの洪水のため御礼が延引した旨をお断り申し上げ、すぐに官銭五十疋並びに雑掌へ二本入り扇子箱（片木居）を差し上げました。ただし和泉大掾は素襖に脇指を帯びて着用しています。また別紙で鍛冶の先例や御礼等の儀について社記から調べ出した書類を差し上げたところ、先例の通り外々で御礼を相勤めた上で再参上すべき旨を仰せ渡されたので、それから御伝奏へ御礼等を申し上げ青銅百疋を差し上げ、雑掌へ扇子二本入りを差し出し申し入れておきました。それから殿下掾、左府掾、右府掏、内府掾並びに当時武家両伝は関東御下向で

We apologized for the delay in expressing gratitude due to flooding since yesterday, and immediately presented fifty kan of official money and a two-fan box (katakii-style) to the assistant. However, Izumi-no-daijo wore a plain jacket with a short sword at his side. We also presented a separate document we had researched from shrine records regarding precedents for blacksmiths and gratitude ceremonies. We were told to perform gratitude ceremonies elsewhere according to precedent before returning, so we then expressed gratitude to the Imperial Transmitter, presented one hundred pieces of bronze, and submitted a two-fan case to the assistant.
