• In the same month, he was summoned before [the lord], and after receiving kind words, he was granted used formal riding hakama as a reward.
• In the third month of the twelfth year of Uma (Horse), for diligently performing his duties during [the lord's] residence in the domain, he was granted two pieces of silver as a reward.
• In the tenth month of the same year, he went up to Edo for duty service, and in the fourth month of the following year of Hitsuji (Sheep), he served as escort for [the lord's] descent and returned.
• In the fourth month of the thirteenth year of Hitsuji (Sheep), when horses were summoned, for diligently performing his duties, he was granted one piece of silver as a reward.
• In the sixth month of the same year, for diligently performing his duties for several years, his rank was elevated to above御用役 (goyōyaku - administrative officer), next to 御祐筆 (goyūhitsu - secretary).
• In the third month of the first year of Meiwa, year of Saru (Monkey), for diligently performing his duties during [the lord's] residence in the domain, he was granted two pieces of silver as a reward.
• In the spring of the same year, he presented his horsemanship skills.
• In the eighth month of the same year, while Sasahara Yogohei was scheduled for duty service in the current tenth month, until the spring descent [of the lord] the wooden horse [training would continue]...
