難儀をお掛けするであろうとお思いになり、この段を申し聞かせるよう御用人を以て仰せ出された事
一 同年四月、御馬をお召しになった処、精出して相勤めたにつき、御褒美として銀子一枚を下賜された事
一 同年五月、御下向なされたにつき、御供仕って罷り下った事
一 同月、勤方等閑につき御役御免となり、無役にて差し置かれ、御馬頭支配に置かれる旨を仰せ出された事
一 同年六月、席次（無役）野村彦三郎次、御勘定頭の上に仰せ付けられた事
一 同三戌年七月、馬術宜しく仕ったにつき、御厩別当帰役を仰せ付けられ、先達ての通り御相手をも仰せ付けられる旨を仰せ出された事
一 同年十月、江戸へ勤番として罷り登り、翌亥五月、御下向の御供仕って罷り下った事
一 同四亥年四月、御馬をお召しになった処、精出して相勤めたにつき、御褒美として銀子一枚を下賜された事

[The lord] thought that [Jōemon] would face hardships, and ordered through a trusted retainer that this matter be communicated to him.
• In the fourth month of the same year, when [the lord] summoned horses, for his diligent service, he was granted one silver piece as a reward.
• In the fifth month of the same year, when [the lord] made his descent [from Edo to Aizu], he served as an attendant and went down [to Aizu].
• In the same month, due to negligence in his duties, he was dismissed from his official post and placed without rank under the supervision of the Horse Commander.
• In the sixth month of the same year, his rank (without office) was placed above Nomura Hikosaburō, next to the Head of Accounting.
• In the seventh month of the third year of Inu (Dog), because his horsemanship was excellent, he was reappointed to the position of Stable Superintendent, and as before, was also appointed as [the lord's] riding partner.
• In the tenth month of the same year, he went up to Edo for duty service, and in the fifth month of the following year of I (Boar), he served as attendant for [the lord's] descent and went down [to Aizu].
• In the fourth month of the fourth year of I (Boar), when [the lord] summoned horses, for his diligent service, he was granted one silver piece as a reward.
