現代語訳
本陣番を仰せ付けられる旨を仰せ出された事
一 同月、年を重ねてきたにつき、江戸表での平和時の御供を御用捨てになり、出仕するのに良い時分には勝手次第に出仕するよう仰せ出された事
一 同年三月、御在国中精出して相勤めたにつき、御褒美として銀子二枚を下賜された事
一 同月、御参勤の御供として勤番で江戸表へ上り、御道中では御本陣番を相勤めて上った事
一 同年九月、御馬術の印可を差し上げる旨を上田伝治を通じて申し上げたところ、御満悦にお思し召しになり、御酒を下賜された事
一 同月、御召形が相済み、御馬見所にて御酒をお召し上がりになった折、御目通りで御酒を下賜されたが、その節御膳の内の御小皿の鰻が老養の御肴である由を御意を蒙り、御直々にその御肴を下賜された事
一 同月、勤番中に御馬をお召しになったところ、精出して相勤めたにつき、御褒美として銀子一枚を下賜された事

...and he was appointed to hon-jin guard duty, as was proclaimed.
• In the same month, since he had advanced in years, his attendance duty during peacetime in Edo was excused, and it was proclaimed that he could attend at his own discretion when it was convenient for him.
• In the third month of the same year, for his diligent service during [the lord's] residence in the domain, he was granted two silver pieces as a reward.
• In the same month, as part of the lord's retinue for sankin-kotai duty rotation to Edo, he served as hon-jin guard during the journey to Edo.
• In the ninth month of the same year, when he requested through Ueda Denji to present a certificate of proficiency in horsemanship, [the lord] was greatly pleased and granted him sake.
• In the same month, after the formal dress inspection was completed, when sake was being consumed at the horse viewing grounds, he was granted an audience and given sake. On that occasion, he received a gracious word that the eel in the small dish from the meal was a delicacy for elderly nourishment, and [the lord] directly bestowed that delicacy upon him.
• In the same month, when [the lord] summoned horses during his rotation duty, for his diligent service, he was granted one silver piece as a reward.
