一 同五《割書：申｜》年正月親丈右衛門通り御木馬
被為 召候毎度為御相手御座之間
へ罷出候様被 仰付候
但右御用無滞相勤候ニ付御懇之
御意之上夜居之間上之間ニ而御
吸物御酒被下此後毎度同様被
下置候事
一 同年二月御在国中精出相勤候ニ付為
御褒美銀子弐枚被下置候事
一 同年六月丈右衛門と改名仕度旨被
任願候事
一 同年十月江戸為勤番罷登翌割書《割書：酉｜》
五月 御下向御供仕罷下候
但陣中御馬被為 召候節精出相
勤候ニ付為御褒美銀子壱枚被下

一 同六《割書：酉｜》年七月最寄勝手ニ付鈴木
玄説屋敷と相対替仕度旨被任

一 同年八月弟子中馬術被遊
現代語訳
一 同五（申）年正月、親の丈右衛門の通り御木馬を
召されるたび、毎度御相手として御座之間
へ罷出るよう仰せ付けられた
ただし右の御用を滞りなく相勤めたにつき御懇意の
御意の上、夜居之間上之間にて御
吸物御酒を下され、この後毎度同様に下し
置かれた事
一 同年二月、御在国中精出して相勤めたにつき
御褒美として銀子弐枚を下し置かれた事
一 同年六月、丈右衛門と改名したい旨の
願いを聞き入れられた事
一 同年十月、江戸へ勤番のため罷り登り、翌（酉）
五月 御下向の御供を仕って罷り下った
ただし陣中で御馬を召される節、精出して相
勤めたにつき御褒美として銀子壱枚を下し
置かれた事
一 同六（酉）年七月、最寄りの都合につき鈴木
玄説屋敷と相対替えをしたい旨の
願いを聞き入れられた事
一 同年八月、弟子中の馬術を御覧になり

• In the first month of the same fifth (Monkey) year, like his father Jōemon, every time the lord called for the wooden horse practice, he was ordered to come to the formal audience chamber to serve as practice partner.
Since he performed this duty without delay, out of his lord's kindness and favor, he was given soup and sake in the upper room of the evening quarters, and was granted the same treatment every time thereafter.
• In the second month of the same year, because he served diligently while the lord was in the domain, he was given two pieces of silver as a reward.
• In the sixth month of the same year, his request to change his name to Jōemon was granted.
• In the tenth month of the same year, he went up to Edo for guard duty, and in the fifth month of the following (Rooster) year, he accompanied the lord on his return journey to the domain.
During the military exercises when the lord called for his horse, because he served diligently, he was given one piece of silver as a reward.
• In the seventh month of the same sixth (Rooster) year, his request to exchange residences with Suzuki Gensetsu for convenience of location was granted.
