手際宜相聞候に付為御褒美硯壱面被

現代語訳
手際が宜しいと聞こえたため、御褒美として硯一面を下し置かれた事
一、文政元寅年九月、御相手を仰せ付け置かれていたところ、■取■ 御成長に至られたため、この節より御相手を御免され、これまで精を出して相勤めたため銀子三枚、綿二把を下し置かれた
但しこの後、御城内所々、御出先へも度々お召し連れいただき、御意を蒙った事
一、同月、欽文様が御逝去されたところ、先達て御相手を仕ったことに付いては、御仮殿御鎮座中、日々参拝仕りたい旨を御任せ願った事
一、同五午年三月、この度欽文様が御逝去されたところ、幼年より御相手を仰せ付けられ相勤めた間柄であるため、御葬送の節に御供仕りたい旨を御任せ願い、御供仕った事

英語訳
his skills were noted as excellent, so as a reward he was granted one inkstone.
1. In the 9th month of Bunsei 1, Year of the Tiger, he had been appointed as a companion, but since [the lord] had reached maturity, from this time his duties as companion were released, and because he had served diligently until then, he was granted three pieces of silver and two bundles of cotton.
Note: After this, he was frequently summoned to accompany [the lord] to various places within the castle and on outings, receiving the lord's favor.
1. In the same month, when Lord Kinbun passed away, regarding his previous service as companion, he requested permission to make daily visits and prayers during the period when the temporary shrine was established.
1. In the 3rd month of the same 5th year, Year of the Horse, when Lord Kinbun passed away, since he had been appointed as companion from childhood and had served in that capacity, he requested permission to accompany the funeral procession and did so.
