但御国帰住御免被成候年月不詳に候事
一同十六亥年十二月幼年ゟ 学問精【出候に】付
拾石弐人扶持被下置被召出席芸者之上に
被仰付於講所読書指南講釈をも

徳翁様御在世中被 仰出候旨被

御暇を下し置かれ候
ただし御国帰住御免を成され候年月は詳らかでない事
一、同十六亥年十二月、幼年より学問に精出し候につき、十石二人扶持を下し置かれ召し出され、席芸者の上に仰せ付けられ、講所において読書指南講釈をも仕る様にと、徳翁様御在世中に仰せ出され候旨を仰せ渡され候事
一、元文二巳年四月、江戸常詰を仰せ付けられ、これまでの御擬作十人扶持に御直しを下し置かれ、かつ江戸勤めの内、年々金五両ずつ講所料の内より下し置かれる旨を仰せ出され候事
一、同年十二月、御家訓拝読仕る様に仰せ付けられ、もっとも此れ以後正月十一日・十二月十八日両度ずつ、御前において拝読仕る様に仰せ付けられ候事
一、同三午年五月、愿彰院様御読書御相手を仰せ付けられ、かつ御次講仕る様に仰せ付けられ、御用の間において御家老中をはじめ大御目付以上、御用無き節は出席承る様に仰せ出され、これより引き返し御在府の節に相勤める様に仰せ出され候

He was granted leave of absence.
However, the year and month when he was permitted to return to his home province is not known.

In the 12th month of the same 16th year, Year of the Boar, because he had been diligent in his studies since childhood, he was granted 10 koku and stipend for two retainers, summoned, appointed above the rank of zaseki-geisha, and ordered to provide reading instruction and lectures at the lecture hall, as had been commanded during the lifetime of Lord Tokuō.
1. In the 4th month of Genbun 2, Year of the Snake, he was appointed to permanent duty in Edo. His previous provisional stipend was changed directly to a stipend for ten retainers, and furthermore, during his service in Edo, he was to receive five ryō of gold annually from the lecture hall funds, as was commanded.
1. In the 12th month of the same year, he was ordered to read aloud the house precepts. Moreover, from this time forward, he was ordered to read them aloud in the lord's presence twice each year, on the 11th day of the 1st month and the 18th day of the 12th month.
1. In the 5th month of the same 3rd year, Year of the Horse, he was appointed as reading companion to Lord Genshōin and ordered to conduct secondary lectures. During official duties, when the senior councilors and chief inspectors and above had no business, he was ordered to attend and receive instructions. From this point, he was ordered to serve during the lord's residence in Edo.
