現代語訳
船が度々漂流することがあり、去年の夏中は御領分の沖合いに渡来したところ、用意を整えて出船し、数日間警固の御用を勤めて勤労したため、御褒美として綿二把を下賜された事
一、同年四月 相州表の件は重要な御備場であるところ、甲士御雇として勤め甲士の列に備わったため、格別の理由をもって御序の節に御目見えを仰せ付けられる旨仰せ出され、翌辰年十二月に江戸表へ出向いて御目見えを仕った事
一、同四年（巳年）八月 相州御雇勤を御免になり、数年勤労したため御褒美として綿二把を下賜された

Foreign ships frequently drifted ashore, and during the summer of last year, when they appeared in the offshore waters of the domain territory, he prepared and set out to sea, serving guard duty for several days. Due to this diligent service, he was awarded two bundles of cotton as a reward.
1. Same year, 4th month: Regarding the Sagami Province matter, as it was an important defense post, he served as a hired mounted warrior (kōshi) and was stationed among the ranks of mounted warriors. Due to this exceptional service, he was granted an audience with the lord at an appropriate occasion, as announced. In the following year of the Dragon, 12th month, he went to Edo and had his audience.
1. Same 4th year (Year of the Snake), 8th month: He was relieved of his hired service duties in Sagami Province. Due to his diligent service over several years, he was awarded two bundles of cotton as a reward.
Note: Since his audience had been completed during his hired service period, it was announced that he would be retained in service at the residence.
