とも忽（たちま）ち再発（さいほつ）して。 起（おき）て居（ゐ）て啽囈（ねごと）
を吐（は）き。 寝（ね）て居（ゐ）て小通（せうべん）をたれるに至（いた）る。
故（ゆえ）に張景岳（ちやうけいがく）といふとも。 孫真人（そんしんじん）と
いふとも。 宿昔（いにしへ）より方論（ほうろん）ある事を聞（きか）ず。
誠（まこと）なるかな。 国（お）医（いしや）さんでも。 神祇（かみ）さん
でもあしか病（やまひ）は治（なほ）りやせぬとうたへる。
実（じつ）に難治（なんぢ）の症（せう）なる事 金（かね）の草鞋（わらぢ）
で尋（たづね）るとも。 外（ほか）にはないぞやあしかの
妙薬（めうやく）。 海獺（うみうそ）といふ獺（うそ）話説（はなし）。 因縁此（いんゑんかく）
の通（とを）りぞと。 弁（べん）にまかせて説付（ときつけ）れば。
おまへの僻説（へきせつ）御尤（ごもつとも）。 唯唯（いゝいゝ）として
点頭去（うなづきさん）ぬ。
維峕享和三ツのとし皐月
端午。 痘疤（あばた）の上（うへ）へ痧病（はしか）をして。
現代語訳
それでもすぐに再発して、起きていて寝言を言い、寝ていて小便を漏らすに至る。そのため張景岳という名医であっても、孫真人という名医であっても、昔からこの病気の治療法があることを聞かない。まことにその通りである。「お医者さんでも、神様でも、あしか病は治らない」と歌われている通りである。実に治療困難な病気である。金の草鞋で探し回っても、他にはないぞ、あしかの妙薬は。海獺という嘘話である。因縁はこの通りであると、弁舌に任せて説きつけると、「あなたのおかしな説はごもっともです」と、「はいはい」と言ってうなずいて去っていく。
享和三年五月端午の日。あばたの上に麻疹をして。

Yet it immediately recurs - they speak nonsense while awake and wet themselves while sleeping. Therefore, even the famous physician Zhang Jingyue or the legendary doctor Sun Simiao have never been heard to have treatments for this condition since ancient times. This is indeed true. As the song goes, "Neither doctors nor gods can cure the ashika illness." It is truly a difficult condition to treat. Even if you searched wearing golden straw sandals, there is no other miracle cure for ashika. It's just tall tales about sea otters. "The karmic connection is as I have explained," and when I expound upon this with eloquence, they respond "Your eccentric theory is quite reasonable" and nod saying "yes, yes" before departing.
