He served as magistrate in Aizu District. His second son, Sakai Sadayū Chikatatada, accompanied and served Masamitsu-kun during the Osaka Campaign in the first year of Genna, and died in battle on the night of the seventh day of the fifth month inside Osaka Castle when it fell. His third son, Fujisawa Hachirōzaemon Iesada, became the adopted son of Fujisawa Hei and served both Masamitsu-kun and Doshin Shin-kun. His fourth son, Nakazawa Rokuzaemon Tsuneharu, was summoned to serve as an attendant to Masamitsu-kun at Takatō Castle in the second year of Kan'ei and was granted a stipend of fifty koku. Later, when Jōshin'emon Chikatsugu was relieved of retirement, an additional fifty koku was added, making it one hundred koku total. Through successive promotions, he was granted a stipend of seven hundred koku and served in numerous offices. He also allocated two hundred koku from his stipend to his second son, Nakazawa Mizuemon Tsunefuku. His fifth son, Nakazawa Jin'emon Sukemitsu, was summoned by Doshin Shin-kun in Dewa Province's Mogami in the fifteenth year of Kan'ei, and later, through promotion, was granted a stipend of two hundred koku and served as district magistrate. His sixth son, Sakai Bentarō Yoshi, was left behind in Anayama when the domain was transferred to Dewa Province's Mogami during the Kan'ei years. A fifth-generation descendant of this Kitarō, named Sakai Sadayū Nobuharu, continues to maintain the Anayama house.

Sakai Jūbei Jirō's eldest son, Morinosuke Tsugiyoshi, lost his father Jūbei to illness while still young, so his stipend was confiscated and he was placed on a maintenance allowance. However, he died young without children, leading to the extinction of the line. The genealogy of the remaining branch families is as follows:
