Second year of Ansei, Kinoto-U year (1855): When the lord was in residence at the castle, he brought with him from Edo the swordsman Saitō Yakurō and the head of the same school, Katsura Kogorō (later Kido Takayoshi). With private instructions, arrangements were made for enrollment, and sword training was conducted at Saitō Yakurō's dojo in Edo Banchō.
