（前ページより続き）……織女星の親星のような大きな星であるが、太陽の余光に覆われてしまうため、非常に小さく赤く見えるのである。文化（辰年）閏六月二十六日の明け方に、井宿の十度あたりに見え、七月十日まで観測された。これを基準として、以後の観測に活用すべきである。
文化六年（己巳）九月、水星が見えた。同八年（辛未）三月上旬の夕方に見える。畢宿の十度あたりである。

In the morning of the twenty-sixth day of the intercalary sixth month of the Year of the Dragon in the Bunka era, it was observed at approximately the tenth degree of the Well Mansion (Jingxiu/Iinoshuku), and continued to be observed until the tenth day of the seventh month. This observation should be used as a benchmark for future measurements.
In the ninth month of Bunka 6 (1809, Year of the Snake), Mercury was visible. In the upper ten days of the third month of Bunka 8 (1811, Year of the Sheep), it was visible in the evening, at approximately the tenth degree of the Net Mansion (Bìxiu/Hitsunoshuku).
In the upper ten days of the eighth month of the same year (Bunka 8), it was visible at dawn at just over ten degrees of the Wing Mansion (Yìxiu/Yokunoshuku). In the upper ten days of the third month of Bunka 9 (1812, Year of the Monkey), it was visible in the evening, at the second to third degree of the Stomach Mansion (Wèixiu/Inoshuku). On the fifteenth day of the twelfth month of the same year (Bunka 9), it was visible at dawn at the first degree of the Winnowing Basket Mansion (Jīxiu/Kinoshuku). On the twenty-seventh day of the eighth month of Bunka 10 (1813, Year of the Rooster), it was visible at dawn at the thirteenth degree of the Extended Net Mansion (Zhānxiu/Chounoshuku). In the middle ten days of the fifth month of Bunka 11 (1814, Year of the Dog), it was visible in the evening.
