一、内法三尺六寸の周囲で、幅五分・厚さ一分の輪を、内側に重ねる形で外へ向かって合わせて八重に重ね、それぞれ三百六十に等分する。
一、地球儀は周囲一寸三分ほどの大きさにするのがよい。
一、内側から第一の輪は白道である。白色にして二十七に等分し、また裏面を四つに割り、龍頭・龍尾・南背・北背を記す。龍頭・龍尾を黄道（の輪）に取り付け、一年に二十度ずつ前へ（西方向へ）動かすことで、日食・月食を見ることができる。ただし、月（大陰）をこの輪に取り付けて、一日に一間（目盛り）分ずつ西から東の方へ動かすべきである。
