おしのおもひ羽とて入おく也

下まだらにしてしんしゆの

女鳥は雨をよばふといへり

現代語訳
鴛鴦（オシドリ） 縁の深い鳥である
女性の化粧道具の箱にも
鴛鴦の思い羽として入れておくものである
頭に白く長い毛がある
美しい鳥で様々な羽の色をしている
鳩（ハト） 羽の色は薄白く、うなじの
下はまだら模様で真珠の
ようである。その他にも羽の色は様々ある
雄鳥は晴れを呼び
雌鳥は雨を呼ぶと言われている
真鳩は土塊という
