（前頁より続き）公家方・武家方の中で、右の社（安波賀春日社）に帰依している様子があれば、それも詳しく書付にして差し出すよう申し聞かされた。
一、同日、右と同じ件につき、御留守居・大関新五左衛門（直看）が以下の書付を持参して差し出した。
口上之覚
先ほど差し出した小狐太刀について、御覧が済みましたので御返却になり、受け取り申し候。
一、越前国安波賀社のことについては、春日明神を勧請して置かれた由緒・伝記、ならびに右の社へ公家・武家の中で藤原氏が帰依した経緯があるかどうか、また京都・建仁寺塔頭大統庵より右の社へ何らかの品物等があるかどうかという件については、こちら（江戸）では詳細は分かりかねます。
一、安波賀村の中に右の社があるため、その土地の者は「阿波賀社」と申し慣わしております。

Memorandum of Oral Statement
Regarding the Kogitsune-maru sword previously submitted: as the Shogun's inspection has been completed, it has been returned, and we have received it back.
Item: Concerning Anaga Shrine in Echizen Province — regarding the history and records of its establishment through the invitation [of the divine spirit] of the Kasuga Myōjin, and whether among the court nobles and warrior families there is a tradition of devotion by members of the Fujiwara clan, and whether there are any objects or items transmitted from Daitō-an sub-temple of Kenninji in Kyoto to said shrine — these matters are not known from here [in Edo].
Item: Since said shrine is located within Anaga village, the local people customarily refer to it as "Awaga Shrine."
