　せいに付而岡島兵左衛門足軽頭には関善左衛門
　其外馬廻ゟは種田平右衛門山田孫太夫両人参る
切支丹蜂起覚書曰
　我等人数急度島原表へ可相渡候由板倉内膳
　殿石谷十蔵殿ゟ只今被仰越間追付渡海可仕与存
　候此段為可申入如此候

　此中伝兵衛所迄内々文上申候間定而届き可申候扨
　々今度不思議之仕合出来所之者皆々かたき
　被成我等む春古人質に取候得共い川くへ行申
　事も叶不申そ連のみなら須舟一艘御座候を
　走り可申と存紙をきり本ぎし川免申候間如何
　様とも可仕様なくけ様に籠之内之鳥と成心中
　御春以もし可被来候今度爰許尓ては権之助
　かさ年質被成迷惑申事候跡之十月廿五日之夜かつ

並河氏覚書に曰く、極月晦日より馬場三郎左衛門殿の御勢に付いて、岡島兵左衛門、足軽頭には関善左衛門、その外馬廻りからは種田平右衛門、山田孫太夫両人参る。

切支丹蜂起覚書に曰く、
我等の人数、急度島原表へ相渡るべく候由、板倉内膳殿、石谷十蔵殿より只今仰せ越され間、追って渡海仕るべしと存じ候。この段申し入るべきため、このようにいたし候。

この中、伝兵衛所まで内々文を上げ申し候間、定めて届き申すべく候。さてさて今度不思議の仕合い、出来した所の者皆々敵となされ、我等は春より人質に取られ候えども、行く川へ行き申すことも叶わず申さず。それのみならず、須く舟一艘御座候を、走り申すべしと存じ、紙を切り本ぎして川へ免し申し候間、如何様とも仕るべき様なく、かくのごとくに籠の内の鳥となり、心中御察し下されるべく候。今度ここ許りにては権之助が去年質となされ迷惑申すこと候。跡の十月二十五日の夜かつ

As stated:

According to Namikawa's memorandum: From the last day of the twelfth month, joining the forces of Baba Saburōzaemon-dono, Okajima Hyōzaemon participated, with Seki Zenzaemon as ashigaru commander, and from the mounted attendants, both Taneda Heiemon and Yamada Magodayū joined.

According to the Christian Uprising Memorandum:
Our forces are to cross immediately to Shimabara front, as just now ordered by Itakura Naizen-dono and Ishitani Jūkura-dono. We intend to cross the sea forthwith. We write this to report this matter.
