　乱す石谷十蔵貞清板倉主水祐重矩諸陣江使
　番を差越ケ様に風雨之節は夜討出る者也用

キリシタン蜂起覚書に載せる
　　一筆啓上いたします。さて、今日元日に総攻撃を命じられましたが、
　　突破することができず、その上手負いや討死が非常に多く、諸勢も
　　無駄足を踏んだため、まず人数を上げられました。板倉
　　内膳殿が討死されました。石谷十蔵殿が負傷されましたが、
　　軽傷です。松平甚三郎と私ども
　　両三人は別の者の手に加わったところ、甚三郎は
　　鉄砲で負傷されましたが、これも軽傷です。
　　急ぎ早々にお知らせします。恐惶謹言

耶蘇征伐記に曰く、正月元日、空は掻き曇り寒気が甚だしく、
手足が自由にならない。夜に入って大雨が頻繁に降り、諸陣営では帷幕
を垂らして手負いの看病をし、討死した多くの人々の家来たちが
混乱している。石谷十蔵貞清と板倉主水祐重矩は諸陣営へ使
番を差し向けた。このような風雨の節には夜討ちに出る者もいるので用

To Lord Itakura Suō-no-kami
Recorded in the Memorandum on the Christian Uprising
　　I humbly write to you. Today, on New Year's Day, when a general assault was ordered,
　　we could not break through, and moreover there were very many wounded and killed. Since the various forces
　　also made futile efforts, the troops were first withdrawn. Lord Itakura
　　Naizen was killed in battle. Lord Ishitani Jūzō was wounded, but
　　it is a minor matter. Matsudaira Jinzaburō and we
　　two or three others joined another's forces, where Jinzaburō was
　　wounded by gunfire, but this too is a minor matter.
　　I report this in great haste. Written with fear and respect.
