現代語訳
京扇は江戸へ帰り、皆にこの話をした。そして勝山の菩提のため三回巡礼をして、石碑を建て、これより僧正になり、隅田川のほとりに庵を結び、通楽庵京扇という宿札を出し、安楽に暮らした。
「三回巡礼して石碑を建てようと存じます」
「なるほど菩提のため石碑も良い思いつきでございます」
京扇は江戸へ帰り、なお茂る気分の中、東伊より合わせてこの物語をして、いよいよ大通の悟りを開いた。
「はて恐ろしい因縁でございます」
英語訳
Kyōsen returned to Edo and told everyone this story. For the repose of Katsuyama's soul, he made three pilgrimages and erected a stone monument. From then on, he became a high-ranking monk, built a hermitage by the Sumida River, put out a lodging sign reading "Tsūraku-an Kyōsen," and lived peacefully.
"I intend to make three pilgrimages and erect a stone monument."
"Indeed, a stone monument for the repose of her soul is a good idea."
Kyōsen returned to Edo, and in his still flourishing spirits, combined with stories from Tōi, he told this tale and finally achieved the enlightenment of great wisdom.
