月番の伊豫守殿が「日光二十日、御名代は能登守、控えは備後守に仰せ付けられる」旨を申し渡され、書付をお渡しになるので、私が出向いて受け取り、下がって披見し戴いて見て、そのまま備後守殿へ相渡しました。備後守殿が拝見を済まされ、有難い旨を両人共に申し上げて退去しました。右の書付を私が受け取り、中之口にて御留守居へ相渡して退出し、西丸へ登城して雁之間にて御奏者当番の大岡兵庫守殿へ謁見の御礼を申し上げました。備後守殿も同様に退出されました。
老中・若年寄回り勤務。ただし右近殿は服忌中につき、ただし先例の任に従い、御礼には参られませんでした。
一 太田備後守殿へ伊与守殿がお渡しになった書付を、留守居使者をもって差し遣わし申し上げました。
三日

Entrance to Kari-no-ma
The monthly duty officer Iyō-no-kami announced that "For the 20th day at Nikkō, Noto-no-kami is appointed as imperial representative (go-nandai), and Bingo-no-kami as assistant," and handed over a written document. I went out to receive it, withdrew to read and respectfully examine it, then passed it directly to Bingo-no-kami-dono. After Bingo-no-kami-dono finished reading it, both of us expressed our gratitude and withdrew. I received the aforementioned document and handed it over to the castle keeper at the middle entrance, then withdrew and proceeded to the Western Castle. At the Kari-no-ma, I paid my respects to the duty announcer Ōoka Hyōgo-no-kami-dono for the audience courtesy. Bingo-no-kami-dono likewise withdrew.
The rōjū (senior councilors) and wakadoshiyori (junior councilors) made their rounds. However, Ukon-dono was in mourning, but following previous precedent, he did not attend the courtesy visit.
One item: The document that Iyō-no-kami-dono handed to Ōta Bingo-no-kami-dono was sent through a castle keeper's messenger.
Third Day
One item: At 7 o'clock, assembled attendants, wore fukusa awase han-kamishimo and departed the residence to visit Abe Iyō-no-kami-dono
