一太田備後守殿江伊予守殿被相渡候書付留守居使

一七時供揃服紗袷半上下着用出宅阿部伊与守殿
対客相越門明罷通勝手ニて暫見合表へ罷出待合
伊与守殿対客之間江被出日光廿日 御名代被
仰付難有段御礼申上退去用人江逢両通之伺書
差出相渡申候向方ゟ可有差図段挨拶有之
罷帰候夫より常月西丸御用向心得松平右京大夫
故ニ有之候間罷越用人江御礼之口上申置罷帰候

御礼には参られませんでした。
一 太田備後守殿へ伊予守殿からお渡しされた書付を、留守居使者をもって差し遣わし申し上げました。
三日
一 七時に供揃え、服紗袷半上下を着用して出宅し、阿部伊与守殿のもとへ向かいました。来客に対応されている最中でしたので、門を明けて通り、勝手口にてしばらく見合わせ、表へ出て待合いました。伊予守殿が来客の間からお出ましになり、「日光二十日の御名代に仰せ付けられ有難い」旨の御礼を申し上げて退去しました。用人に面会し、両通の伺書を差し出してお渡し申し上げました。向こう方から指図があるであろうとの挨拶があり、帰宅しました。それから、常月の西丸御用向きの心得として、松平右京大夫が亡くなったためにそちらへ参り、用人へ御礼の口上を申し置いて帰宅しました。

Third Day
One item: At 7 o'clock, assembled attendants, wore fukusa awase han-kamishimo and departed the residence to visit Abe Iyō-no-kami-dono. As he was receiving other guests, I passed through the opened gate, waited briefly at the service entrance, then went to the front and waited. When Iyō-no-kami-dono emerged from the guest room, I offered thanks saying "I am grateful to be appointed as imperial representative for the 20th day at Nikkō" and withdrew. I met with his retainer and presented two copies of inquiry documents. There was a greeting that instructions would come from their side, and I returned home. After that, regarding the regular monthly duties at the Western Castle, since Matsudaira Ukyō-no-dayū had passed away, I went there and conveyed words of condolence to his retainer before returning home.
