当時は菊の間の御縁には行かず、雁の間の御縁の頬の御内障子の外と菊の間の方へ控え寄って控えている。
英語訳
At that time, [I] did not go to the verandah of the Kiku-no-ma (Chrysanthemum Room), but waited by withdrawing to the area outside the inner sliding doors at the side of the Gan-no-ma (Wild Goose Room) verandah and toward the Kiku-no-ma.
