申してきたが留守故返事は遣わさなかった。
一、諸向き清めが相済んだ段を申し渡し、五時半より清めを解いた。
一、内藤能登守殿から出立の案内の使者が来た。こちらからも祝いの使者を遣わした。
同十七日
一、日光控えを仰せ付けられたけれども、今日は御成の先例同席にあり、行列に罷り出て相勤めた。
同十八日
一、内藤能登守殿の留守居から下手紙を以て、昨十七日に房川を滞りなく渡船されたとの段を知らせてきた。
同二十日
一、日光表で内藤能登守殿から、御名代の拝礼を去る二十日に相勤め、即刻彼地を発足したとの段の案内書状が来た。間もなく着いたことゆえ返書は遣わさなかった。
同二十三日
一、内藤能登守殿から日光表を滞りなく相勤め、只今帰府したとの段の案内使者が来た。こちらからも付き使者を遣わした。
同二十四日
一、今日内藤能登守殿が帰府の

1. Although I was ordered to be on standby for Nikko duty, today there was a precedent of attending the lord's procession in the same capacity, so I went out in the procession and performed my duties.

1. The caretaker of Lord Naito Noto-no-kami sent a subordinate letter informing that yesterday, the 17th, he safely crossed the Fusagawa river by ferry.
Same day, the 20th
1. From Nikko, Lord Naito Noto-no-kami sent a notification letter that he performed the ceremonial worship as imperial representative on the 20th and immediately departed from that place. Since it arrived shortly after, I did not send a reply letter.
Same day, the 23rd
1. A messenger came from Lord Naito Noto-no-kami announcing that he completed his duties at Nikko without incident and has now returned to Edo. I also sent an accompanying messenger from my side.
