一、服紗半袴を着用し、能登守殿へ罷り越し、対客にて日光廿日御名代仰せ付けられ候旨の御礼を申し上げ、それから勝手へ罷り通り、御逢いして吹聴し、安否をも申し述べた。
一、酒井若狭守殿は御逢い日ではなかったが罷り越し、用人を呼び出して吹聴を申し置いた。
一、八時半頃、老中連名の切紙が御用番備中守殿より到来した。

一、日光への御暇を仰せ付けられ候につき、袷熨斗目半袴を着用し、六時半前に出宅して登城した。坊主衆を以って御目付へ罷り出た段を申し遣わし、承知の答えがあった。それから老中登城前に御目付衆へ相頼み、羽目之間において拝領物の習礼を致した。
一、高家衆横瀬駿河殿へも逢い、今日の処を頼み置いた。

One, Wearing fukusa half-hakama, I went to visit Noto-no-kami-dono and in audience expressed gratitude for being appointed Nikko deputy representative on the 20th day. Then I proceeded to the informal area, met with him to announce my news, and also inquired about his well-being.
One, Although it was not Sakai Wakasa-no-kami-dono's audience day, I visited him and called out his steward to announce my news.
One, Around 8:30, a written notice jointly signed by the Senior Councillors arrived from Bitchu-no-kami-dono who was on duty.

Then, before the Senior Councillors arrived at the castle, I requested the Inspectors' assistance and performed the practice ceremony for receiving gifts in the Wainscoting Room.
One, I also met with Yokose Suruga-dono of the Koke (High Families) and requested his assistance for today's proceedings.
