一服紗袷半袴着用七半時過壱寸出宅御用番阿部備中守殿江  罷越 一用人呼出日光廿日  御名代被 仰付候ニ付為御礼罷出候旨申述無程備中殿対  客之間江出座用人杉戸明ヶ自分罷出対客之敷居  際ニ而姓名申述罷出今度日光廿日  御名代被 仰付難有旨申上右ニ付伺書差出候上包取  弐通壱所ニ差出備中殿披見被致鳥渡会釈有之直退  座夫ゟ勝手江罷通備中守殿出座時候之挨拶有之外相客も  有之候間付入自分之吹聴且安否も申述退座 一土井大炊頭殿水野出羽守殿大久保加賀守殿江も罷越勝手江罷   通自分之吹聴安否も申述帰宅五半時過 一青山下野守殿江可罷越処此節表門修復ニ付対客登  城前段故不罷越吹聴等以使者申遣 一今朝差出候伺書左之通    来ㇽ十六日爰許発足仕同十九日日光着    廿日    御名代相勤廿三日帰府仕候先格ニ而御    御座候今度も其通相心得可申哉奉伺候    以上        四月五日     内藤大和守  附 可為先格之通候 札   今度於日光廿日   御名代之 拝礼相勤候節先格之通   大紋着用可仕哉 一御名代相勤候以後  御宮 御霊屋江自分之拝礼仕  度奉存候  右之通奉伺候以上   四月五日       内藤大和守 付札   可為先格之通候      同六日 一明朝能登守殿対客江可罷越段留守居之者を以申遣候処為  承知之旨挨拶有之      同七日

現代語訳

一、服紗袷半袴を着用し、七時半過ぎ一寸に出宅、御用番阿部備中守殿へ罷り越した。 一、用人が呼び出し、日光廿日御名代仰せ付けられ候につき御礼のため罷り出た旨を申し述べた。程なく備中殿が対客之間へ出座し、用人が杉戸を明け、自分が罷り出て対客之敷居際にて姓名を申し述べて罷り出た。今度日光廿日御名代仰せ付けられ有難い旨を申し上げた。右につき伺書を差し出した上、包み取り二通を一所に差し出した。備中殿が披見され、ちょっと会釈があって直ちに退座した。それから勝手へ罷り通ると備中守殿が出座され、時候の挨拶があった。他にも相客があったので、付き入って自分の吹聴をし、また安否も申し述べて退座した。 一、土井大炊頭殿、水野出羽守殿、大久保加賀守殿へも罷り越し、勝手へ罷り通って自分の吹聴をし、安否も申し述べて五時半過ぎに帰宅した。 一、青山下野守殿へ罷り越すべきところ、この節表門修復につき対客登城前段の故、罷り越さず、吹聴等を使者を以って申し遣わした。 一、今朝差し出した伺書は左の通り:    来る十六日こちらを発足し、同十九日日光着、    廿日    御名代相勤め、廿三日帰府致し候が先格にて    御座候。今度もその通り心得申すべきか伺い奉り候。    以上        四月五日     内藤大和守  付札 先格の通りたるべく候   今度日光において廿日   御名代の拝礼相勤め候節、先格の通り   大紋着用仕るべきか 一、御名代相勤め候以後  御宮御霊屋へ自分の拝礼致し  たく存じ奉り候  右の通り伺い奉り候。以上   四月五日       内藤大和守 付札 先格の通りたるべく候      同六日 一、明朝能登守殿対客へ罷り越すべき段、留守居の者を以って申し遣わし候ところ、承知の旨の挨拶があった。      同七日

One, I was supposed to visit Aoyama Shimotsuke-no-kami-dono, but since the main gate was under repair and it was before the formal audience session, I did not visit and instead sent a messenger to convey my announcement.
