一元禄十三辰八月廿八日本多孫太郎母昨廿七日病死ニ付孫太郎忌中 御宮御仏殿
火消相勤儀如何可仕哉之旨被相伺候処其身ハ御仏殿ニ罷在御宮ハ家来共迄致差図差置可然旨取次本多治【？】右衛門へ月番狛杢挨拶申聞候也
一御宮御仏殿為火消高知中之内両人被仰付置罷出候事
八百里言【浅井八百里の付記】二千石以上ニ候得ハ壱年持ニ被仰付候儀其例有之 酒井外記二千石未満ニ而ハ二手持ニ被仰付候也
一正徳三巳年正月十六日留ニ出火之節ハ御先物頭先有合之組召連御宮へ行其内ニて
御宮火消御先物頭二組斗相残り《割書：相定り候儀無之近｜辺之者両人罷越候事》其外ハ詰場所へ可相詰事且又
御宮火消道具出シ入之儀荒子へ申付置候得共右之荒子間ニ合不申候ハヽ御足軽共ニ為出可申事御徒
目付延引仕節ハ早々罷出候御先物頭封切可申事常ニも清水御門番人道具置所封ニ相違も
無之歟気を付可申事但御徒目付御用番之者罷出候由 後ニ享保三戌四月被仰出候条可見合

火事場詰所並びに火消その他取り扱い
一、元禄十三年辰八月二十八日、本多孫太郎の母が昨日二十七日に病死したため、孫太郎が忌中である。御宮・御仏殿の火消しを勤める件はどのようにすべきかと伺いを立てたところ、本人は御仏殿に控えており、御宮は家来たちまでに指図させて差し置くのが適当である旨を、取次ぎの本多治右衛門へ月番の狛杢が挨拶申し聞かせた。
一、御宮・御仏殿の火消しのため、高知中（高知衆）の内から両人が仰せ付けられ、出勤している。
浅井八百里は二千石以上であるため一年持ちに仰せ付けられた例がある。酒井外記は二千石未満なので二手持ちに仰せ付けられた。
一、正徳三年巳年正月十六日の記録によると、出火の節は御先物頭が先に手持ちの組を召し連れて御宮へ行き、その内で御宮火消しの御先物頭二組ほどが残り（定められた規定はなく、近辺の者両人が出向く）、その他は詰め場所へ詰めること。また、御宮火消し道具の出し入れについては荒子（下級武士）に申し付けてあるが、右の荒子が間に合わない場合は御足軽たちに出させること。御徒目付が延引した節は早々と出勤した御先物頭が封を切ること。常に清水御門番人の道具置き所の封に相違がないか気を付けること。ただし御徒目付の御用番の者が出勤した由。後に享保三年戌四月に仰せ出された条項を参照すること。
一、運正寺火消しは去る寄合中の内から両人が常懸り、御先物頭の内から両人が常懸り。
一、孝顕寺火消しは寄合中の内から両人が常懸り。
一、宝永元年申三月二十五日、自然に御城下で出火の節、御留守居両人の内一人が今まで御宮へ詰める筈であったが、今度の御留守からは両人の内一人が御座所へ出向くよう仰せ出された。
一、明里御蔵火消しも右同様。
一、宝永二年酉八月朔日、寄合・諸物頭・御使番の諸月番へ仰せ出された覚書：
御城下出火の節、風もなく少しの事で気遣いする儀がない節は、面々が御定めの役所へ出向く必要はなく、支度をして控えているべきである。少しの事でも騒がしいことがあるため、右の段を申し聞かせるよう仰せ出された。もっとも御供番中が出向く件は格別の儀である。
一、享保二年酉年（見せ消ち・朱書き）三年戌三月十五日の記録によると、御普請奉行へ御家老中が申し渡したのは：その方たちは今まで出火の節に役所に詰めていたが、向後は手木の者並びに組の者を召し連れて火元へ出向き、御目付たちと申し談じて火を防ぐよう努めるべき旨を申し聞かせた。
【後筆】御用部屋の記録では、今まで定められた場所へ出向き御家老中の指図次第で火元へ出向く筈だったところ、向後右の通り仰せ付けられた。
按ずるに、これまでの詰所は御普請奉行一人は狛杢前、一人は漆御門へ出る。

1. On August 28th, Genroku 13 (Year of the Dragon), since Honda Magotarō's mother died of illness yesterday on the 27th, Magotarō is in mourning.
