一、同十六年亥年十月二十一日、毛屋御侍中御舟一艘拝借いたし、御番等の節松平庄兵衛下の川往来いたしたき旨相願い候えども御取り場無く候。右代わりに大水の節毛屋町へ罷り出し候処の川へ御賃舟仰せ付けられ候。御奉行・御目付・御水主頭等申し談じ相極め候儀、同二十二日・二十九日・十一月二十三日の連々留めあり
一、同年四月十一日、郡奉行彦坂又兵衛相達し候。安居両渡村船頭共相願い候は、水出で候節堂形より下町中の馬場筋へ、御在国には小舟五艘、御留守年には三艘ずつ差し上げ御家中御用相勤め候。この儀は二十年ほど以前御水主方より仰せ付けられ候。前々は両渡りに小舟十六・七艘も御座候処、近年困窮に及び漸く八艘でなくては無く候。一艘に船頭二人ずつ差し添え候。もっとも船頭一人に米一升ずつ下され候えども、福井に泊まり候節は宿賃・食費等もあり、困窮の者共迷惑仕り候間、御領分川筋小舟所持いたし候者共へ仰せ付け、順回りに御用相勤め候様仰せ付け下され候はば有難く存じ奉るべき旨相願い、御家老中へ相達し候処、御水主頭小栗九右衛門申し談ずべき候旨申し聞かされ候。同十六日また相達し候は、右の趣九右衛門申し談じ候処、右の通り順回りに相勤めさせ候ては御用差し支えにつき、先年より両村にて相勤めさせ候。右につき願いの通りには申し付け難く候。併せて以後水出で候節舟指し出し候節は一艘につき一匁七分ずつに相極め置き、その分惣小舟持の者共方より両度船頭共へ内々出し候様仕り、舟数・勤め日は御水主方にて相改め、もっとも前々下され候米の儀も相出で、右の通り両渡並びに惣舟持共へ仰せ付けられ然るべき旨、九右衛門申し談じ候段申し達し候処、その通り申し渡し候様申し聞かされ候。然るところなお吟味の上申し付け候様御家老中申し聞かされ候につき、

This arrangement was ordered by the boatmen's office about twenty years ago. During high water at Dōgata, the Yasui ferry keepers have been employed and used, but since they have reported financial difficulties, they are hereby released.
