一寛保二戌八月五日神明裏御堀浚出来見分留有之但昨年来江戸町裏ゟ追々浚之儀留有之
現代語訳
一、享和三年亥年五月 御堀浚い御普請所へ御先筒組の出方が少ないため、詰役所向きで定めた取り組みの外に、御普請中は人員を増やすよう仰せ出され、左の通り申し達した。
一、御奉行月番の鈴木新八郎へ仰せ出された写しに手紙を添えて差し越し、山奉行と内奉行、用水奉行へ申し達すよう申し達した。
一、町奉行、御預所郡奉行、郡奉行、御作事奉行等へ仰せ出された写しに手紙を添えて申し達した。
一、寛保二年戌年八月五日 神明裏御堀浚い出来見分の記録がある。但し昨年来江戸町裏から追々浚いの件の記録がある。

Kyōwa 3, Year of the Boar, 5th month: Due to insufficient deployment of the advanced musket unit (osaki-tsutsumi-gumi) to the moat dredging construction site, orders were issued to increase personnel during construction work beyond the regular assignments established by the duty station administration. The following notifications were sent:
1. A copy of the orders issued to magistrate monthly duty officer Suzuki Shinpachirō was sent with an accompanying letter, with instructions to notify the mountain magistrate, internal affairs magistrate, and irrigation magistrate.
1. Copies of the orders with accompanying letters were sent to the town magistrates, district magistrates of directly controlled territories, district magistrates, and construction magistrates.
1. Kanpō 2, Year of the Dog, 8th month, 5th day: Records exist of the completion inspection of the moat dredging behind Shinmei shrine. Note: Records exist of gradual dredging work from behind Edo-machi since last year.
