本天王前へ縁道通候様ニ札立可申歟と郡奉

元文元年卯年六月十六日
二口新橋の普請があるため、牛馬は往還から地蔵町へ通るようにし、歩行に適した者は開発橋から松本天王前へ迂回路を通るようにと、札を立てるべきかと郡奉行小栗次右衛門が伺ったところ、その通り申し付けるべき旨を松平庄兵衛方から申し渡された。

Due to construction of the Futakuchi New Bridge, cattle and horses should pass from the highway through Jizō-machi, and those suitable for walking should take the detour from Kaihatsu Bridge to in front of Matsumoto Tennō. When district magistrate Oguri Jiemon inquired whether signboards should be erected for this purpose, he was instructed through Matsudaira Shōbei that this should indeed be implemented.
