  居宅作事并切取畳置 一宝暦四未年御倹約被仰出候節家作之事寛保二戌年被仰出候御書付之通相守可申但  本屋其外一切作事之儀新成儀ハ不及申修覆たりといふ共其品相達可申旨御触出候  留有之      口達  御倹約ニ付面々家作之儀当春相触候通ニ候然処其以来表向塀取払青垣ニいたし   候面々も有候由相聞候此以後少分之儀ニ而も取払候儀ハ弥以目付中へ相達指図可被受  旨ニ候間可被得其意候以上 十月廿九日   目付中 一同年十月廿八日松原多膳へ被仰渡候之御書付左之通   其方居宅座敷一間先頃崩取候趣ニ候御目付共へも不相達むさと家作崩取   候儀不相成事ニ候尤及大破難致修覆訳も有之候ハヽ相達候上如何様とも取扱可   有之候処其儀も無之候不〆り候趣不調法之至ニ候依之御呵り被成候致遠慮可罷在候以上 一享和二戌十一月十三日  以手紙得御意候然ハ拙者屋敷先年類焼未た普請手狭ニ付此度本屋ゟ北之方へ三尺ニ弐間半庇  建継申候右御届如此御座候以上             松原善左衛門様 仙石万右衛門  右之通申聞候得共以後右様手紙遣候儀ハ屋敷奉行へハ不申達旨ニ付此度も不申達候事 【朱書】ウ

現代語訳

居宅作事並びに切取畳置 一、宝暦四年未年、御倹約が仰せ出された際、家作の事は寛保二年戌年に仰せ出された御書付の通り相守るべし。但し本屋その他一切作事の儀で新規の儀は申すに及ばず、修覆であっても、その品を相達すべき旨御触出があり、留め置かれている。 口達 御倹約につき面々家作の儀、当春相触れた通りである。然るところ、その以来表向きの塀を取り払い青垣にした面々もある由相聞いている。この以後少しの儀であっても取り払う儀は、いよいよもって目付中へ相達し指図を受けるべき旨であるので、その意を得られたい。以上 十月二十九日   目付中 一、同年十月二十八日、松原多膳へ仰せ渡された御書付は左の通り その方居宅座敷一間、先頃崩し取った趣である。御目付共へも相達せずむやみに家作を崩し取る儀は相成らない事である。もっとも大破に及び修覆を致し難い訳もあるならば相達の上いかようとも取り扱うべきところ、その儀もないのは不締まりの趣、不調法の至りである。これにより御呵りを成され、遠慮して罷在すべし。以上 一、享和二年戌年十一月十三日 手紙を以て御意を得る。然らば拙者屋敷、先年類焼し未だ普請が手狭につき、この度本屋より北の方へ三尺に二間半の庇を建て継ぎ申した。右御届このように御座ある。以上 松原善左衛門様 仙石万右衛門 右の通り申し聞いたが、以後右様の手紙を遣わす儀は屋敷奉行へは申し達さない旨につき、この度も申し達さない事。 【朱書】ウ

Hōreki 4, year of the sheep (1754): When economic reforms were proclaimed, regarding house construction matters, the written regulations issued in Kanpō 2, year of the dog (1742) should be observed. However, for main houses and all other construction matters, not only new construction but even repairs must be reported according to their type, as proclaimed in the official notice, which remains on file.
