一天明八申八月五日御勝手役ゟ諸下代迄身分不相応ニ物好等有之ニ付不都合之儀無
之様被仰出候依之小算以下土蔵之儀ハ火除之為ニ候得ハ九尺四方斗小キ分ハ不苦候
勿論向後身分相応ニ心得違無之様急度相守可申候若心得違之者於有之ハ其
節御咎可被仰付候旨被仰出候旨留有之
一享和元酉五月十一日下代之内心得違ニ而土蔵間数広ク建置候者有之ニ付切縮候様
支配頭へ申通候尤御家老中へ伺候上夫々申達候此節押出慎等之儀支配頭ゟ承合有
之候得共不及其儀旨致挨拶候事

現代語訳
土蔵物置
一、天明八年申年八月五日、御勝手役より諸下代まで身分不相応な物好みなどがあるため不都合がないよう仰せ出された。これにより、小算以下の土蔵については火除けのためであれば九尺四方ほどの小さな分は差し支えない。もちろん今後は身分相応に心得違いがないよう必ず守るべきである。もし心得違いの者があれば、その節にお咎めを仰せ付けられる旨が仰せ出された旨、留めがある。
一、享和元年酉年五月十一日、下代の内で心得違いにより土蔵の間数を広く建て置いた者があるため、切り縮めるよう支配頭へ申し通した。もっとも御家老中へ伺いの上、それぞれに申し達した。この節、押し出し慎みなどの儀について支配頭より承合があったが、その儀には及ばない旨挨拶をした事。

Storehouses and Storage Buildings
1. Tenmei 8, year of the monkey (1788), 8th month, 5th day: It was proclaimed from the finance officers down to all junior officials that there should be no improprieties due to extravagances inappropriate to one's station. Accordingly, for storehouses of junior calculators and below, since they are for fire prevention, small ones of about 9 shaku square are acceptable. Of course, henceforth one must strictly observe propriety according to one's station without misunderstanding. Should there be anyone who misunderstands, punishment will be decreed at that time. This proclamation is on record.
1. Kyōwa 1, year of the rooster (1801), 5th month, 11th day: Among the junior officials, there were those who had built storehouses with too many rooms due to misunderstanding, so orders were sent through the supervisory heads to reduce them. Naturally, this was reported to each after consulting with the senior councilors. At this time, there were inquiries from supervisory heads about matters such as dismissal and restraint, but it was explained that such measures were not necessary.
