一正徳五未二月十三日瑞源寺自火御霊屋焼失之事留有之
一享保十七子年三月廿七日東光寺焼失黄梅院様御位牌小屋掛寺中仮囲御先祖番人等之事留有之
一明和二酉三月華蔵寺焼失
一寛政六寅八月廿一日運正寺華蔵寺焼失
一運正寺火消心得方被仰出候儀火消之条々出之
一享保四亥三月廿日御先武頭之内東郷三郎右衛門樋口小左衛門運正寺火之番之処三郎右衛門病気小左衛門忌中ニ付如何可致哉と問合有之候ニ付
右両人へハ運正寺手寄【「てぢか（手近）」と同意】之組を以被仰付候事ニ候へハ右代り余人へ被仰付候而ハ急之間二合不申仍之三郎右衛門病気快罷出候上ハ各別
当分ハ忌中ニ而も小左衛門罷出両組共ニ差図可致旨及挨拶尚又御家老中へも伺候処同意也月番荒川助右衛門
一弘化元辰九月十五日晩瑞源寺自火焼失役僧口上書御家老中へ相達候《割書：八百り【筆者の浅井八百里】云｜御前へ入御覧候趣ハ不相見》
一元文四未七月八日寺町御先組小栗九右衛門中村太郎左衛門両組不残類焼ニ付当分運正寺へ罷出候儀相成不申旨申達候ニ付《割書：毛屋也｜加賀》
九郎右衛門酒井六郎右衛門《割書：毛屋｜与也》組町辺土ニハ候得共先手寄之方ニ候間両人当分運正寺罷出候様狛杢方へ伺之上両人へ申達之候
同廿六日九右衛門太郎左衛門申聞候ハ拙者共組運正寺へ手寄候付前々ゟ御城下火事之節両人運正寺へ罷出候様被仰付置候今度組町
火事ニ付相考見申候ニ運正寺近所之組町故右之筋出火有之候而ハ面々組家気遣敷ニ付運正寺へ駆付候儀難致其上此度之
様ニ組町致焼失候程之火事ニ而ハ別而組町防不申候而ハ難成故運正寺へ組之者共相詰候儀相成不申候左候へハ右運正
寺之寄親斗罷出候而も相済不申儀ニ候へハ運正寺近所之組町持申候者へ被仰付置候而ハ却而無詮儀ニ候へハ向後運正寺を
はなれ候組町持申者共へ被仰付被下候様ニ致度旨申聞候ニ付尤之気付ニ候間令承知候旨致挨拶置同役申談候処

一、正徳五年未二月十三日 瑞源寺自火で御霊屋が焼失した事が留められてある。
一、享保十七年子年三月二十七日 東光寺が焼失し、黄梅院様の御位牌を小屋掛けし、寺中を仮囲いし、御先祖番人等の事が留められてある。

一、寛政六年寅八月二十一日 運正寺・華蔵寺焼失
一、運正寺火消心得方について仰せ出された儀について、火消の条々が出されている。
一、享保四年亥三月二十日 御先武頭のうち東郷三郎右衛門・樋口小左衛門が運正寺火の番の処、三郎右衛門が病気、小左衛門が忌中のため、如何に致すべきかと問い合わせがあった。
右両人へは運正寺手近の組をもって仰せ付けられた事であるので、右の代わりに余人へ仰せ付けられては急の間に合わない。よって三郎右衛門の病気が快復して罷り出る上は格別だが、当分は忌中であっても小左衛門が罷り出て、両組ともに差図致すべき旨を挨拶し、なお又御家老中へも伺ったところ同意であった。月番荒川助右衛門
一、弘化元年辰九月十五日晩 瑞源寺自火焼失、役僧の口上書を御家老中へ相達した（割書：八百里［筆者の浅井八百里］云う 御前へ入り御覧になった趣は相見えず）
一、元文四年未七月八日 寺町御先組の小栗九右衛門・中村太郎左衛門両組が残らず類焼したため、当分運正寺へ罷り出る儀が相成らない旨申し達したところ（割書：毛屋なり 加賀）
九郎右衛門・酒井六郎右衛門（割書：毛屋 与なり）組の町辺りにはあるが、先手寄りの方であるので、両人当分運正寺へ罷り出るよう狛杢方へ伺いの上、両人へ申し達した。
同二十六日 九右衛門・太郎左衛門が申し聞かせるには「拙者共の組は運正寺へ手寄りしているため、前々から御城下火事の節に両人が運正寺へ罷り出るよう仰せ付け置かれている。今度組町の火事について考え見るに、運正寺近所の組町故、右の筋に出火があっては面々組の家が気遣わしいため、運正寺へ駆け付ける儀は難しい。その上この度のように組町が焼失するほどの火事では、別して組町を防がなければ成らないため、運正寺へ組の者共が相詰める儀が相成らない。左様であれば、右運正寺の寄親のみが罷り出ても相済まない儀であるので、運正寺近所の組町を持つ者へ仰せ付け置かれては却って無詮の儀である。向後運正寺を離れた組町を持つ者共へ仰せ付けていただきたい」旨申し聞かせたため、もっともな気付きであるので承知した旨を挨拶し置き、同役と申し談じたところ、何れももっともな儀と存じたため、昨二十五日評定所において御家老中へ委細申し達したところ同意で、自今外の御先物頭が罷り出るよう申し聞くべき旨を狛杢方から申し聞かせたため、加賀九郎右衛門・酒井六郎右衛門両人は向後運正寺へ罷り出るよう申し聞くのが然るべき旨であるので申し遣わすべきと申し聞き、その段を九郎右衛門・六郎右衛門へ申し遣わした。

Fires at Bodhi Temples
1. February 13th, Shōtoku 5 (Year of the Sheep) - A record exists of Zuigen-ji Temple catching fire and the mausoleum being destroyed.
1. March 27th, Kyōhō 17 (Year of the Rat) - Tōkō-ji Temple was destroyed by fire. Lady Ōbai-in's memorial tablet was temporarily housed in a shed, the temple precincts were temporarily enclosed, and matters regarding ancestral guardians were recorded.
1. March, Meiwa 2 (Year of the Rooster) - Kezō-ji Temple was destroyed by fire.
1. August 21st, Kansei 6 (Year of the Tiger) - Unshō-ji and Kezō-ji Temples were destroyed by fire.
1. Regarding the instructions issued for fire prevention procedures at Unshō-ji Temple, various fire prevention regulations were issued.
1. March 20th, Kyōhō 4 (Year of the Boar) - Among the advance military commanders, Tōgō Saburō-zaemon and Higuchi Koza-emon were assigned fire watch duty at Unshō-ji Temple, but Saburō-zaemon was ill and Koza-emon was in mourning, so an inquiry was made about how to proceed.
Since these two men were assigned using units close to Unshō-ji Temple, assigning others in their place would not work in an emergency. Therefore, while it would be different if Saburō-zaemon recovered from his illness and could appear for duty, for now even though he is in mourning, Koza-emon should appear and direct both units. 1. Evening of September 15th, Kōka 1 (Year of the Dragon) - Zuigen-ji Temple was destroyed by fire. A written statement from the temple officials was conveyed to the senior retainers. 1. July 8th, Gembun 4 (Year of the Sheep) - The temple district advance units of Oguri Ku-zaemon and Nakamura Tarō-zaemon were completely destroyed by fire, so they reported that they could not appear at Unshō-ji Temple for the time being. (Marginal note: Keya nari | Kaga)
Kurō-zaemon and Sakai Rokurō-zaemon (Marginal note: Keya | Yo nari) were in the vicinity of the unit's town area, but since they were closer to the advance position, after consulting with Koma Moku, it was conveyed to both men that they should appear at Unshō-ji Temple for the time being.
On the same 26th day, Ku-zaemon and Tarō-zaemon reported: "Since our units are close to Unshō-ji Temple, we have been ordered from long ago to appear at Unshō-ji Temple when there are fires in the castle town. Considering this fire in our unit's district, since it is a unit district near Unshō-ji Temple, if there were a fire in that area, we would be concerned about our unit members' homes, making it difficult to rush to Unshō-ji Temple. Moreover, in a fire severe enough to destroy the unit district as happened this time, we must particularly defend the unit district, so our unit members cannot be stationed at Unshō-ji Temple. In that case, even if only the close supporters of Unshō-ji appear, it would not suffice, so assigning those who hold unit districts near Unshō-ji Temple would be pointless. We would like to request that in the future, those who hold unit districts distant from Unshō-ji be assigned." Since this was a reasonable observation, I acknowledged it and consulted with my colleagues, who all thought it reasonable. Yesterday, the 25th, I reported the details to the senior retainers at the council, and they agreed that from now on other advance commanders should be told to appear. Koma Moku conveyed that it would be appropriate to tell Kaga Kurō-zaemon and Sakai Rokurō-zaemon that they should appear at Unshō-ji Temple in the future, so this was conveyed to Kurō-zaemon and Rokurō-zaemon.
