現代語訳
右は去秋以来、御手鷹（お殿様の鷹狩り）が格別に骨折りをしたことにつき、別段の思し召しをもって下された。御鷹掛り田辺五太夫から相渡した。

三巻共に御覧相済み、遣方を市右衛門が入御覧、打太刀井戸駒吉が御前で御遣方一通相済み、駒吉がまた一通遣って入御覧畢って、御伝授を仰せ付けられ有難き旨、御礼申し上げ御用人が御取り合いあった。但し最初巻物を御前へ持ち出し差し上げた節、御意（流儀の免状を差し上げ御大慶に思し召される旨）があった。右相済み、御右筆部屋にて頂戴物があり、長炉の間にて両人に御吸物・御酒を下された。
一、九半時、御供揃えで貞照院様への御暇乞いのため御住居へお入りになった。御服紗御上下。

1. Today, after completing the practice conclusion ceremony including the horse officials' audience, certificates of the Nakamura Ichiemon school were subsequently presented. His lordship took his seat at the usual place in the practice hall. At this time, the area was cleared except for chamberlain Akita Un'nosuke and chief side attendant Koheiei only. Ichiemon presented the certificate scrolls before his lordship, Kohei opened them for viewing, and Ichiemon made his presentation.
After viewing all three scrolls, Ichiemon demonstrated the techniques for viewing, and Ido Komakichi performed one complete sword technique demonstration before his lordship. Komakichi then performed another technique for viewing, and after completion, the transmission was formally granted. Gratitude was expressed in thanks, and the chamberlain facilitated the proceedings. However, when the scrolls were first brought forward and presented, words were given (expressing great joy at the presentation of the school certificates). After this was completed, gifts were received in the secretary's quarters, and soup and sake were served to both men in the long brazier room.
