右は貞照院様がお入りになったことにつき進められた。御酒・御吸物はかねてから堅く御断りを遊ばされているが、思し召しにて態々御慰み代わりに進められた。

一、三月十七日五時半、御供揃えで御裏通りから総御社参（前夜から服穢の御改めあり）〇未だ春の御召物・御上り物に掛かる者のみ。右は御帰殿後、御召しのまま御のしめ・御庭・御宮元・御座所・御宮土手・御仏殿等を御拝遊ばされた。御先立ては毎度の通り御側向頭取が平服、御仏殿の御先立ては御近習番のみ。

右は昨年、御膳所向けの御倹約に出精・骨折りをしたことにつき、御内証から下された。
一、三月十八日五時半、御供揃えで御裏通り、泉蔵院始め総御寺御参詣を遊ばされた。
一、御座の間にて本多内蔵助方始め御家老中・同隠居・同息・御傅役・御用人（息才にて又明年）・同隠居・御懇意隠居・両御附・御側向頭取まで、明日の御発駕につき御機嫌伺いを申し上げ、何れも御意〇無事にて又明年があった。但し御用人隠居荒川孤重までは御用人の御取り合いなく、その余は御用人の御取り合いがあった。御召・御服紗・御袴。
一、三月十九日御目覚め切れ六時、鎌落三寸廻り、御仕廻い上がり五時五分、五時半にますます御機嫌よく御発駕を遊ばされた。下荒井まで御馬をお召しになった。
一、十八日、謙五郎様がお入りになり、毎度の通り御小座敷にて御対顔があり、その後再びお入りになり御噺を遊ばされ、御菓子・御茶を進められた。
一、同日夕、高野惣左衛門をお召しになり、しばらく御噺等を遊ばされ御菓子をお下げ置きになった。

1. 17th day, 3rd month, at 5:30, the retinue assembled for worship at all shrines via the rear route (ritual purification examination from the previous night) ○ Only those involved with spring garments and formal wear. After returning to the palace, still in formal dress, worship was performed at the ceremonial rope area, garden, shrine grounds, audience hall, shrine embankment, Buddhist hall, etc. The procession was led as usual by the chief side attendant in plain clothes, with only the personal attendant guards leading at the Buddhist hall.

In the audience chamber, beginning with Honda Kuranosuke's group, including senior councilors, their retired predecessors, their sons, tutors, chamberlains (young talents for next year), retired chamberlains, favored retirees, both personal attendants, and chief side attendants, all paid respects regarding tomorrow's departure. All received words ○ of safe travels and meeting again next year. However, for retired chamberlain Arakawa Koshige, there was no chamberlain mediation, while for the others there was chamberlain mediation. Formal robes, court dress, and hakama were worn.
