On the 23rd day of the 8th month, polo was played. The children, brothers, and second sons of chief retainers were granted viewing permission. However, even when performed before the lord, viewing took place from above the horse viewing area, and greetings were conducted on the thin mats in front of the horse viewing area. No sweets were bestowed.
On the 25th day of the 8th month, Ōmiya Tōma reported illness and requested to retire for convalescence by letter, which was heard by the lord.
On the 27th day of the 8th month, viewed Izubuchi Ichihashi, and as it grew toward dusk, lights were briefly brought out. Three candlestands were brought before the lord by the personal guards.

On the 29th day of the 8th month at 8 o'clock, Hasegawa Takeuemon and his son appeared for firearm practice.

For this practice, they appeared frequently and also came for cleaning and polishing firearms, so today being the final practice, this was bestowed. This matter was conveyed to Takeuemon, and the sake was passed from the practice supervisor monk to the target callers.

Same day: One bucket of sweetfish sushi - bestowed upon residence senior lady Somemura-dono (referring to Sekiura-dono). However, as sushi would spoil during transport, it was sent as salted sweetfish and prepared in Edo. The meal supervisor and kitchen head conveyed this arrangement.

One carp - fishing master Hayashi Jirōshichi went to Hatsu River and caught this,献上, consumed for the second time
