一今朝五半時御供揃ニ而運正寺威徳院様御霊前御廟御参詣被遊御

一、十二月二十九日
金二千疋
右は貞照院様へ歳暮のため進められた。御年寄が取り計らい大奥へ回した。ただし例年は御好みの品を伺って進めているが、当年の処は格別御好みの品がない趣につき、右の御目録にて進められた。右等の趣は前もって津田四郎左衛門へ内々に調べさせた事。
一、今晩飛脚が立った。

一、十二月晦日、御側御用人、御用人一統が御小座敷へ出向き、歳暮の御祝儀を申し上げた。御素衣のまま受けられた。
一、今夕七時より御夜詰み引きまで、御側向一統が上下を着用した。
一、謙五郎様が入られ（御二度御膳後、此方より御案内にて）御小座敷において歳暮の御祝儀を仰せ上げられた。御両方様の御召服は御服紗御上下であった。
一、七時半過ぎに御宮御拝が一昨年の通りあった。御側向頭取は御宮御路次内より御先へ相立った。元の御座所は御矢場口木の内より御先へ相立つ筈の処、今日は雪道が細いにつき、始終御近習番の次に御先立ち申した。
一、今朝五時半に御供揃いにて運正寺威徳院様御霊前御廟へ御参詣遊ばされた。御召服は御服紗御上下。大奥御拝の節は御熨斗目御上下。
一、御湯を召された。
一、御三度御膳を表にて召し上がられた。
一、御夜詰み五時半に引いて表で御寝になった。
一、今日飛脚が着き、左の通り進められた品があった。

The above was presented to Lady Teishōin as year-end gifts. The senior lady-in-waiting arranged and sent it to the great interior. However, while usually preferred items are inquired about and presented, this year there were no particular preferred items, so it was presented with the above catalog. These matters were investigated privately through Tsuda Shirōzaemon beforehand.
One item: Tonight a courier departed.

The above was presented to Princess-sama as year-end gifts as usual and sent to the great interior.
Kichiroku renamed Moro Kyūzaemon, Shōzaburō renamed Iwaki Tōzaemon
Gonjūrō renamed Katō Shōbei, Naojirō renamed Kondō Yūzō
Shichirōsuke renamed Asami Shichijūrō, Heiemon renamed Ishihara Jinjūrō
The above were renamed from yesterday, the 28th.
One item: Last day of 12th month, the senior personal retainers and all retainers went to the small reception room to offer year-end congratulations. They were received while [the lord] remained in plain court dress.
One item: From seven o'clock this evening until the end of night duty, all senior attendants wore formal court dress.
One item: Kengorō-sama entered (after the second meal, by invitation from here) and offered year-end congratulations in the small reception room. Both their lordships' formal wear was court silk with formal court dress.
One item: Past 7:30, shrine worship took place as in the year before last. The senior attendant chief took the lead from within the shrine approach path. Originally he was supposed to take the lead from within the woods at the archery range entrance, but today the snowy path was narrow, so throughout he took the lead following the personal attendant group.
One item: This morning at 5:30 with full retinue, worship was performed at Unshōji Temple before the spirit altar and mausoleum of Lord Itokuin. Formal wear was court silk with formal court dress. For the great interior worship, it was court dress with family crests and formal court dress.
One item: A bath was taken.
One item: The third meal was consumed in the front hall.
One item: Night duty ended at 5:30 and he retired to sleep in the front hall.
