現代語訳
一、八月二十一日、明日湯の花川へお入りになる御供として新右衛門が相勤めることになったため、今晩の泊まりは御用捨てを仰せ付けられ、八時に退出いたした。
【朱書】
一、九時前に御弓の御巻藁、御的ともに御稽古をなさった。飯嶋四郎右衛門が不快のため、息子の新左衛門のみが罷り出た。【ここまで朱書】
一、八月二十二日、五時前に御供が揃い、湯の花川の宿へ御川狩りのためお入りになった。御二度、二川において御膳の後、一川で御水主の者に網打ち詰め川を仰せ付け、御乗船にて御覧になった。
一、今日から御側御用が一人ずつ野通りの御供を仰せ付けられた。

Item: August 21st, as Shinemon was to serve as attendant for tomorrow's visit to Yunohana River, tonight's lodging duty was excused, and he withdrew at eight o'clock.

Item: Before nine o'clock, archery practice was performed with rolled straw targets and regular targets. As Iijima Shirōemon was indisposed, only his son Shinzaemon appeared.【End of red ink】
Item: August 22nd, before five o'clock the attendants assembled, and His Lordship went to Yunohana River inn for river hunting. After the second meal at Nikawa, at Ichikawa he ordered the boatmen to cast nets throughout the river, and observed from aboard his boat.
Item: From today, one chamberlain at a time was ordered to accompany the field excursions.
