現代語訳
披露のご意向で久しぶりのことであった。この際、間の襖を左右へ開き、白龍寺・宝観寺・本涼院の目見えが済んだ。お召し替えでお袴をお召しになり、書院上段へご着座。方丈が昆布を差し上げ、ご挨拶として時候の話があり、方丈が退去。昆布は表の御小姓が引き取り、お袴をお取りになった。この際、献上物が出され、御用人が披露。序でに肩衣御免の伺いがあり、一統平服でお膳を召し上がって済んだ。庭前山上へお入りになり、役僧がご案内してゆっくりとお入りになり、再び書院へお入りになった。銘酒を差し上げ、お供揃いを仰せ出だし、方丈が休息所まで見送り。「今日はゆっくりと」とのご挨拶があり、ご帰殿された。なお往来はお袴をお召しになった。

一 十月十五日 月次一統の御礼が済み、再び表へお入りになり、即座にお立ち掛かり、指物の間で目見え。御用人披露で服部左衛門。大広間へご着座。

右は仰せ付けられ、鳥目をもって御用人が披露し、長鮑を直接下賜された。
一 八時半にお供揃いで貞照院様のお住居へお入りになった。今朝御用人から通達があった。

The announcement was made with his lordship's intention, after a long interval. On this occasion, the sliding doors between rooms were opened to the left and right, and the audiences with Hakuryuji Temple, Hokanji Temple, and Honryoin Temple were completed. After changing clothes and donning hakama, he took his seat on the upper level of the study. The abbot offered kelp and exchanged seasonal greetings, then withdrew. The kelp was retrieved by the page, and the hakama was removed. At this time, offerings were presented and announced by the chamberlain. Incidentally, there was a request for exemption from formal court dress, and the meal was taken in ordinary clothes by all present. He then entered the front garden and mountain area, guided leisurely by temple officials, and re-entered the study. Fine sake was offered, the retinue was assembled, and the abbot saw him off to the rest area with words of "Please take your time today." He returned to the palace, wearing hakama during the journey.
