一 十二月十日 揩五郎様の御対顔の日であるが、雪模様のため御止めになり、入られなかった。前後いつも通り。
一 今日は寒中につき御使いがあり、一同御機嫌伺いがあった。飛脚着。
姫君様から 御返書、御茶 進められる

一 松平越中守様は先達てから御不快とのことで、江戸表から大奥まで申し来たり、御見舞い品を進めるべきかどうか相伺いするよう岡野方から申し聞かされ、相伺いしたところ、随分よろしいとのこと。なお江戸表の田川方へ申し越し、江戸表にて取り計らうよう仰せ付けられ、その段を岡野方へ申し聞かせ、今晩飛脚にて申し遣わした。

一 十二月十五日 月次御礼、御座の間において御着座、御参観の御時節が仰せ出されたため御歓び。御方々様からの御使いをお受けになり、一統の御礼並びに家督の御礼、初めての御目見が済み、入られた。
御座の間に御着座、御参観の御時節が仰せ出されたため、御側御用人、御用人詰め合わせ、御小姓が恐悦申し上げた。ただし御側向頭取は詰め合わせであれば恐悦申し上げるはずであるが、今日は当番明けの日のため、別段には罷り出なかった。

右は歳暮として進められ、岡野方へ相渡した。ただし昨年暮れの分もまだ済んでいないため、二ヶ年分一緒に差し出したこと。

1. Lord Matsudaira Etchū-no-kami has been unwell since recently, as reported from Edo to the Great Interior. When the Okano office informed us to inquire whether get-well gifts should be sent, upon inquiry, it was deemed quite appropriate. Furthermore, word was sent to the Tagawa office in Edo, ordering arrangements to be made there. This matter was communicated to the Okano office and sent by courier tonight.
