現代語訳
諸献上物を今夕の御慰みに御福引の格式をもって御座の間で御前にて御くじ
頂戴を仰せ付けられた。御近例の御福引の節の通り、当番の者のみ御前でくじを頂戴
して出向いた。今晩御月見につき召し出されて出向いた詰合の面々もいたが、
当番以外はくじ頂戴に出向かなかった。

御中老一人・御用人半分通り・御茶道半分通りが出向いた。
残りの分は十三夜に召し出される予定。御小道具手伝い・奥御坊主等は例の通り。
御台所頭山路長兵衛その外表御坊主共の内で小舞を行う者が召し出され、
御広式御用達林鉄次郎に謡を仰せ付けられる予定で召し出されたが、不快につき
出向かなかった。右の御月宴は御始まりが夜四時前に済んだが、暁七時半過ぎまで続いた。

Various tribute items were used for tonight's entertainment in the form of a lucky draw (fukubiki) conducted in the lord's presence in the audience chamber. Following the recent precedent for lucky draws, only those on duty went before his lordship to receive lottery tickets. Although there were various attendants present tonight for moon viewing who had been summoned, those not on duty did not participate in receiving lottery tickets.

One For tonight's moon viewing banquet, following precedent, Senior Councilor, Domain Officials, Formal Protocol Officials Yamashina Hachijuro, Maeda Hikojiro, Kiyota Tanzo, and Takano Sozaemon were summoned. Those below the Formal Protocol Officials were contacted by letter from the Chamberlain Chiefs, with only chamberlain staff on duty attending. However, two groups of personal attendants went, along with one senior councilor, about half the domain officials, and about half the tea ceremony staff. The remaining portion will be summoned on the thirteenth night. Small implements assistants, inner monks, etc. attended as usual. Kitchen Head Yamaji Chobei and others among the outer monks who perform komai dances were summoned. Formal Protocol Assistant Hayashi Tetsujiro was to be ordered to perform noh chanting and was summoned, but did not attend due to illness. The moon viewing banquet began before 4 PM and concluded after 7:30 AM.
