水戸山川御留守居が済んで、御中老息へ御手のしを下された。右相済み同席、
御帰国御礼使者明石縫殿の御目見を仰せ付けられ、御意あり。拝領物御帷子一つ、奥の番役の御家老中御執り合いあり、御慰み程御直接お下しになった。
右相済み御座所へお入りになり、掛御座所御宮弁天稲荷両社の御拝を
あそばされ、御座所へお入りになった。

- 5th month, 15th day: Arrived at the castle on horseback after 8:30, and at various locations according to previous protocol, gave his words. Taking seat in the main sitting room, receiving envoys from Princess Asa and other ladies, bestowing ceremonial gifts. After completing this with Honda Kuranosuke's household and other chief retainers' sons, castle deputy's son, and elders, moved to the Tartar room. After the castle deputy Takachi, Mito Yamakawa caretakers finished, ceremonial gifts were bestowed to the elders' sons. After this was completed, homecoming gratitude envoy Akashi Nuino was granted audience with words of acknowledgment. Bestowed gift of court robe, with coordination among the inner guard chief retainers, personally bestowing comfort items. After this was completed, entered the residence, worshipped at the hanging residence shrine's Benzaiten and Inari both shrines, then entered the residence.
