取り合わせ、右同断。終わって長炉の間において御酒、御肴を下された。右すべて月番御用人雨森伝左衛門が取り扱った。
一、正月七日、六時二分前御目覚め、五時御供揃いにて御本丸へ移られ、若菜の御祝儀として御方々様からの御使いをお受けになった。終わって御家老中が当日御礼を申し上げ、御座之間の分は御礼例の通り。それから表へ移られ、隠居の面々並びに諸町人、町石工の御礼を例の通り席々においてお受けになり、相済んで四時半過ぎ御帰殿。後に御庭の御宮で年始の御拝をなされ、御裏役が取り計らった。
一、正月八日、六時御目覚め、五時御供揃い、御案内の上で御本丸へ移られ、寺院、神主の御礼をお受けになり、八時御帰殿。

Coordination completed, same as above. After finishing, sake and delicacies were bestowed in the long hearth room. All of this was handled by the monthly duty official Amemori Denzaemon.
1. January 7th: awakening just before 6 o'clock, with 5 o'clock entourage assembly moved to the main castle, received messengers from various ladies for the young herbs celebration. After completion, the senior retainers offered their daily respects, with the audience chamber portion following the usual礼protocol. Then moved to the front area, received the usual respects from retired officials and various townspeople and stonemasons at their respective seats. After completion, returned to the palace after 4:30. Later, performed New Year worship at the garden shrine, arranged by the back service officials.
1. January 8th: awakening at 6 o'clock, 5 o'clock entourage assembly, with guidance moved to the main castle, received respects from temples and shrine priests, returned to palace at 8 o'clock.
