一、七月十日八時、元御座所へ入られ、謙五郎様の御謡を御聞きになった。上月久右衛門が出席し、弓八幡中入まで久右衛門が御同音で謡った。待謡から御独吟が済み、御好みで湯谷一番を御独吟された。終わって久右衛門へ独吟の雪月花・母衣・烏帽子折の小謡を仰せ付けられた。御干菓子一重を御持参として御前にも召し上がり、謙五郎様へも御取り分けを進上し、御残りは謙五郎様へ皆進上された。
一、右が済んで御矢場へ入られ、謙五郎様の御弓の御稽古を御覧になった。御次弓五張が出て、別段の御好みで小林作助の弓術を御覧になった。

1. On the 10th day of the 7th month at 8 o'clock, he entered the former residence to listen to Kengoro-sama's noh chanting. Kozuki Kyuemon appeared and chanted "Yumi Hachiman Chu-iri" in unison with his lordship. After the introductory chant and solo performance were completed, he performed a solo of "Yutani First Piece" according to his preference. When finished, Kyuemon was ordered to perform solo pieces of "Setsu-getsu-ka," "Horo," and "Eboshi-ori."
