雲洞高野惣左衛門花木栄被為召候旨被仰出候ニ付夫々以手紙致通達候
一八月十五日吉辰ニ付謙五郎様御前髪被為執御式御方ニ而相済御加冠御中老
見習天方孫八相勤之無御滞被為済御本丸へ被為入御控所ニ被為入候殿様

屋三郎助と申者兼而日向守様御館入仕候ニ付坂
府表へ御歓罷出候而罷帰候節持参仕候由

まで御目見を行い、御小座敷へお入りになった。また韃靼の間に御着座し、高知高家が御盃をいただく趣旨で御目見を仰せ付けられた。
一、明後日十五日の御月見のため、御傅役永見主殿、御中老見習天方孫八、津田四郎左衛門、前田雲洞、高野惣左衛門、花木栄をお召しになる旨が仰せ出された。それぞれに手紙で通達した。
一、八月十五日は吉辰のため、謙五郎様が御前髪をお取りになる御式を御方で済ませ、御加冠は御中老見習天方孫八が勤めて、滞りなく済まされた。御本丸へお入りになり御控所にお入りになった。殿様は御座の間へお入りになり御着座され、この節に謙五郎様がお入りになってお対顔され、御礼を申し上げて御右の方へ横に御着座された。この節に御熨斗を殿様へ差し上げて御祝いをなされ、その御熨斗を直に謙五郎様へ差し上げて御祝いをなされた。引入《割書：御小姓役の》この節、殿様へ謙五郎様から進上された御目録を御用人が持ち出して御披露し、直に御挨拶をなされた。それから姫君様をはじめ御方々様から御使いで御歓びを申し進められるのをお受けになった《割書：ただし御手のしは無し》。終わって御家老中が出座して御歓びを申し上げて退去し、御傅役、御中老見習、御用人一統が恐悦を申し上げて退去した。謙五郎様は御引取りで御控所へお入りになり、それから御家老をはじめ当日御礼のある表向一統の御礼が済んだ。殿様は御小座敷へお引取りになり、ここで謙五郎様の諸士御目見を仰せ付けられた。御側向頭取をはじめ御医師、御小姓、御近習番の面々が孔雀の間上の御間から二の間へ掛けて斜めに並び居り、大奥がお入りになって掛けて御目見を仰せ付けられた。御用人が披露して終わり、殿様は表へお入りになり、家督の御礼をはじめ色々御目見があって済んだ。御小座敷で謙五郎様とお対顔の後、同道で大奥へお入りになった。この節、御目録のお取り替えがあったという。
一、御二度御膳は謙五郎様から進上された御膳で御祝いをなされ、御膳後に進上された御赤飯、御吸物、御酒、御硯蓋、御鉢肴、御菓子等は御小座敷を御締切りにして大奥で召し上がった。
一、御右筆部やへ右の恐悦を申し上げた。

His lordship withdrew to the small sitting room, where audiences for Kengoro-sama with various retainers were granted. The chief attendants, physicians, pages, and close attendant guards arranged themselves diagonally from the upper room of the Peacock chamber to the second room, and the inner quarters entered to conduct hanging audiences. After the chamberlain's announcement concluded, his lordship went to the outer area where various audiences including those for succession took place. After a formal meeting with Kengoro-sama in the small sitting room, they entered the inner quarters together. At this time, there was reportedly an exchange of gift lists.
1. The second formal meal consisted of a celebratory meal presented by Kengoro-sama. The red rice, soup, sake, inkstone covers, bowl dishes, sweets, etc. served after the meal were consumed in the inner quarters with the small sitting room sealed off.
