一八月廿九日御立山ゟ追々松茸差出候ニ付例年之通御家老御中老御用
人御側廻り御供頭御医師同隠居御茶道被下ニ差出御膳番取計
委細彼方ニ留記有之
一今晩飛脚立塩鮎左之通江戸表へ相廻り御膳番取計
姫君様へ 塩鮎五十 桶入

現代語訳
一、若殿様の御誕生日の御延期された御祝儀を今日、御家老中が拝謁し恐悦申し上げた。右のため大奥において御目録披露があった由。
一、八月二十九日 御立山から追々松茸が差し出されるため、例年の通り御家老・御中老・御用人・御側廻り・御供頭・御医師・同隠居・御茶道に下されることになり、御膳番が取り計らった。委細は彼方に留記がある。
一、今晩飛脚が立ち、塩鮎を左の通り江戸表へ送り、御膳番が取り計らった。
姫君様へ 塩鮎五十 桶入り

御住居中年寄以下は重ねて鮎が出来ればお下しになる筈だったが、当年から御鵜を止められ鮎が御払底のためこのようになった。
一、八月晦日 以後御弓・御槍・御剣術の御稽古の節、謙五郎様にも御本丸へお入りになり、御覧になり御様子次第で御遣いもされるよう。もっとも御稽古毎度御定式にお入りになるということではなく、御都合次第で仰せ進める筈。右の趣旨を仰せ出され、中根新六方へ申し遣わした。

1. Today the senior retainers paid their respects and expressed their congratulations for the postponed birthday celebration of the young lord. For this occasion, gift lists were presented in the inner quarters.
1. 29th day of 8th month: As pine mushrooms are being sent successively from Mt. Tate, according to annual custom they were bestowed upon the senior retainers, middle-ranking elders, chamberlains, side attendants, escort leaders, physicians, retired physicians, and tea ceremony masters, with arrangements made by the meal attendants. Details are recorded elsewhere.
1. Tonight an express messenger departed, and salted sweetfish were sent to Edo as follows, arranged by the meal attendants:
To Hime-gimi-sama: 50 salted sweetfish in tubs
To Wakadono-sama, Kiku-hime-sama, Koto-hime-sama, Tsutsushimi-hime-sama: 30 each
20 each to four senior ladies of the residence
15 each to two personal senior ladies

For the middle-ranking ladies and below of the residence, they were to receive more when sweetfish became available again, but since cormorant fishing was discontinued this year and sweetfish are in short supply, it was done this way.
1. 30th day of 8th month: From now on, during archery, spear, and sword practice sessions, Kengoro-sama should also enter the main castle, observe the proceedings, and depending on the situation, may also practice. Of course, this does not mean he must enter for every regular practice session, but should do so according to convenience. This intention was announced and conveyed to Nakane Shinroku.
1. A reply letter was sent to Matsudaira Hyuga-no-kami-sama:
